FEUDAL SYSTEM/
SOCIAL ORGANISATION
Just like the medieval times the Angkor Empire ran their social structure in a form of the Feudal System. So at the bottom were all the Villagers, above the Villagers were the Regional People and temples, above the Regional people were the Brahmins and at the very top were the King and royalty.
The political, economic decisions and the actions taken were all based around the village temple. The Angkor Empire was strictly based around the king and the temples.

Secondary source - political structure
This Political structure was made to keep order of having the Royalty/Kings to be more important than all the others. Just like the medieval times the Rich were at the top and the poor were at the bottom.
This is secondary because this could be wrong because we weren't sure how they ran there society back then.

secondary source - Rich and poor
This picture shows how the rich lived against the poor. This is shown to tell people that the poor had very had lives and had to work hard for food and shelter. In the photo it shows that they are topless this tells us that it was very hot in there area so they had to go topless to defeat the heat.
This is secondary because this is the authors interpretation on the rich and poor peoples lives.
